Financial Specialist – Kenansville, NC

Cape Fear Farm Credit has an open position for a Financial Specialist in our Kenansville, NC office serving our Commercial and Capital Markets departments. In this role, the Financial Specialist will provide office support for the loan officers by lending aiding in the loan administration and business development tasks. Supporting the lending function to ensure enduring customer relationships by delivering great customer experiences. This role will report to the branch manager.

How you will impact Cape Fear Farm Credit:

  • Provides assistance to branch lending staff and helps facilitate other branch duties
  • Responsible for digitizes documents to build electronic customer files for loan staff
  • Utilizes CRM for customer services
  • Collaborates with staff to provide timely loan servicing and completes LSP’s as required
  • Utilizes internal and external communication for customers and third party contacts to facilitate the loan process (i.e. gathering loan applications, financials, and scheduling loan closes, etc.)
  • Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills
  • Efficiently and accurately prepares AgVue credit request for AgScoring, traditional underwriting or analyst use
  • Builds networks and develops industry knowledge
  • Complies with letter and spirit of the Association’s Standards of Conduct Policy
  • Ensures all customers have a great customer experience
  • Effectively communicate with customers and team members 
  • Demonstrates a commitment to learning and growing by proactively following development plan
  • Maximizes quality business growth to meet Association’s profitability and other business plan objectives

Required Qualifications

What you need to succeed:
  • Associates degree in business, legal, or accounting or the equivalent of experiences in these fields
  • Strong analysis, judgement, and communication (oral and written) skills
  • Quick learner, strong problem solver, and adaptable
  • Work independently under general supervision
  • Problem solving, decisive, and assertive
  • Foster and promote a team atmosphere
  • Must have the ability to travel within the business footprint to provide branch coverage as needed
  • General knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office
