Mortgage Loan Officer - Flexible 

Cape Fear Farm Credit is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer. This Loan Officer will work independently to originate and service loans, market financial services and develop strong working relationships with our customers, while growing our business in their territory. This role will report to the Chief Sales Officer.

How will you impact Cape Fear Farm Credit:

  • Coordinates applications for branch-referred new and existing customers
  • Coordinates the origination of home loans to new and existing customers
  • Market Farm Credit consumer lending to real estate professionals and home builders
  • Partner with local branches throughout the Association’s territory to identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities
  • Ensures all customers have a great customer experience
  • Effectively communicate with customers and team members 
  • Demonstrates a commitment to learning and growing by proactively following development plan
  • Maximizes quality business growth to meet Association’s profitability and other business plan objectives

Required Qualifications

What you need to succeed: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or agricultural economics
  • 2 or more years of direct experience in mortgage banking
  • Registered with or eligible for registration under the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry
  • Knowledge of consumer credit disclosures and new regulations regarding consumer credit disclosures
  • Strong interpersonal, sales, negotiating and problem solving skills
  • Strong analytical and communication (oral and written) skills
  • Computer experience with intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and Outlook
