The position requires above average attention to details, concern for the exact correctness of work, and strong commitment to tasks completed on time. The person in this position will take work seriously, has a strong sense of duty, and is disciplined. A somewhat faster-than-average pace will be the norm for this position. Detailed, specialized work is the major focus.  The position will generally be task oriented, requiring someone with a conservative, careful, and cautious approach to work.

Primary Job Functions: The Senior Data Analyst performs a wide variety of analytical and reporting work for Cape Fear Farm Credit.  Projects may include importing data to use for reporting, building reports in various tools, creating dashboards, ad-hoc analysis, designing predictive modeling or other data mining capabilities, and performing statistical analysis and interpretation.  Specific projects will vary widely depending on needs.  The Senior Data Analyst will work closely with stakeholders across Cape Fear Farm Credit to generate standard or custom reporting solutions summarizing business data for use by senior leadership in making business operations decisions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

-Will act as the primary liaison to stakeholders to identify, develop and deploy reporting solutions and report requirements
-Serve as the liaison to technology vendors and business partners to ensure seamless integration of technology systems and business applications
-Identify report requirements, appropriate data sources and translate business requirements to an appropriate reporting solution
-Develop reports using vendor tools (e.g., SQL Server/SSRS, Tableau, QlikView, Crystal Reports, other EDW systems)
-Develop, document, and interpret ad-hoc reports using analytical tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, R, Tableau)
-Produce engaging and deeply informative visualizations of data, utilize business intelligence tools to present data in a user friendly format
-Apply sound statistical methods as needed to properly interpret results or perform data analysis in order to provide the most relevant and useful information
-Support existing systems, including break/fix, user communication, and on-call rotation
-Stay abreast of cutting edge analytics, learning and working with new tools as appropriate

 Required Skills and Abilities:

-Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems or a related discipline
-3+ years relevant work experience in report writing/data analytics is required
-Ability to manage workflow and multiple requests, while meeting deadlines and managing customer expectations
-Must be self-motivated, able to adapt to a fast-paced environment, and perform duties with a high level of accuracy and timeliness
-Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, driven to meet deadlines while maintaining quality across all projects
-High technical skill along with sound reasoning ability
-Experience managing data within data warehouse and customer relationship management systems (CRM) is desired
-Proficiency in one or more reporting/dashboard platforms (e.g., SSRS, Tableau, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, MicroStrategy)
-Advanced knowledge of data reporting tools, spreadsheet applications or other analytical tools
-Strong skills in SQL programming and relational databases
-Familiarity with statistical methods and packages
